Katie Treadwell is the Interim Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards in the Vice Provost for Student Affairs Office. As the Director, she is responsible for maintaining the community standards of the university and holding students accountable for alleged policy violations. Katie partners with students to address their behaviors holistically within the context of their own personal experiences and the larger university community. Additionally, Katie provides a variety of trainings to students and organizations around bystander intervention, hazing prevention, and community accountability.
Katie received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Baylor University and Doctor of Education degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. Katie came to KU in 2013 as Associate Director for First-Year Experience. Prior to her time in Lawrence, she served as a residence hall director at Barnard College, Columbia University’s liberal arts institution for women in New York City.
