Hazing is defined by the KU Student Code of Student Rights & Responsibilities as "Engaging in hazing of another person for the purpose of initiation or admission into, affiliation with, or continuation of membership in any organization operating under the sanction of the University.

Hazing is defined by the KU Student Code of Student Rights & Responsibilities as "Engaging in hazing of another person for the purpose of initiation or admission into, affiliation with, or continuation of membership in any organization operating under the sanction of the University.

This portion of the code includes all forms of "new member education", "pledgeship", rite of passage into or continued membership of any student organization, sports team, or any other KU affiliated organization.
